What's New in CoolCam 1.2?
New Features
• Images can now be saved locally, allowing you to use CoolCam on a computer running Web Sharing (or similar) web server software. To use this feature, check the 'Save image locally' checkbox in the 'Options' tab, and choose a folder and filename for saved images. To change the folder or filename later, click the folder icon next to the 'Save image locally' checkbox. The image will be saved to your chosen folder at the interval specified in the 'Options' tab. When using local saving only, you don't need to enter anything in the 'Server' tab.
• CoolCam now has AppleScript support. The new 'Scripts' folder contains scripts that are automatically executed by CoolCam whenever certain events occur. You can modify these scripts using the Script Editor application to customize CoolCam's behavior. For example, you can have CoolCam dial into your ISP before capturing an image, and disconnect after the image has been uploaded. You can also have CoolCam warn you by beeping before an image is captured.
• Uploading is now asynchronous, allowing you to continue working in other applications while CoolCam uploads the image to a remote server. Note: Due to a problem with the AOL Link software, AOL users should ensure they are signed in before using CoolCam to upload images. We are continuing to work on a solution to this problem.
• You can now create clippings of the currently displayed image by clicking in the image and dragging the image to the desktop or any Finder window.
• Added support for Mac OS 9.0.
